On March 5, 2010 the culmination of a well planned surprise birthday party for Maxine Salter-Williams culminated.  And what a surprise it was!

The big event was the brain-child of her children and a few very close friends.  The theme was 'Surprise' and the colors were black or white for the guest and RED for the Guest of Honor.

The venue was the picturesque Waterside Yacht and Country Club on Coquina Key.  The event was held on the upper deck and was beautifully decorated with balloons, roses, and life-size pictures of Maxine celebrating life.

Like no other, Maxine has a true appreciation for life, God first, Family and Friends.  She thoroughly enjoyed  her birthday celebration.  Family and friends from all walks of her life were there to help her celebrate her momentous occassion of '60 Years and Still Going Strong'.  Those in the 'house', other than family, represented the 'old' General Telephone Company (Verizon), Gibbs Class of 1968, Inc. and Maxine's Academy.

Food was artfully prepared by J. Johnson.  The guest dined on country smoked turkey and ham, creamy pasta salad, fresh garden salad, soft dinner rolls and hors d'oeuvres of fresh sweet fruit and international cheese cubes and dainty crackers.  While I'm sure I've missed some of the items served, it was certainly enough there to delight everyone's palate.

The birthday cakes were out of this world; deliciously prepared strawberry mouse and raspberry mouse layered cakes.  Max didn't need help blowing out the candles, she had that mastered.

A personal DJ was there to spin soulful sounds of every genre.  The floor was a constant groove of smooth moves and line dancing and the like.  The buzz was "No one has a party like a 'Maxine Party'".

The party reflected the Love of Mother by Krizen and Antorio and the Love of Friends to have pulled off such an awesome party.  All that were there enjoyed themselves immensely.   It's evident by the photos below, the expressions of love displayed, on that magical night of March 5, 2010 where family and friends celebrated life with Maxine!
